Following on the great success of the inaugural Expo in 2021, HikeWest is now planning for the next WA Hiking Expo to be held on Sunday 30 April 2023, again in the wonderful forest setting of the Perth Hills discovery Centre, Beelu National Park. Don’t miss this unique new Expo of hiking information and opportunities, hiking groups and outdoor gear; the Expo will promote bushwalking / hiking and will celebrate the start of the Perth region’s bushwalking season with this special day in the Perth Hills. It will encourage people of all ages to discover the pleasure and benefits of bushwalking, and how to get started.
The 2023 event will again feature:
- Free entry.
- Fun & food for the whole family in wonderful Perth Hills forest setting.
- Expo of hiking tours, hiking destinations, outdoor gear and walk providers, clubs.
- Guided hikes ranging from 40mins to 3 hours, including family-friendly options.
- Attractions for all, including bush music, kids activities (climbing wall, Nature Club…) and more.

Guided hikes – Online bookings for guided hikes at the Expo will open in March 2023. Members of the general public will be able to secure a place on any one of several guided hikes. The hikes will provide a great introduction to bushwalking. Choose from a range of enjoyable hikes in nature hosted by hiking groups and guided by experienced leaders. Join in an easy, short family walk or a more challenging hike or social trail run; ranging from 30-45 mins to 3 hours duration. Best to book early to avoid disappointment! Just $5 per person or $10 per family (up to 3 children with 1-2 adults).
