Bushfire impacts – February 2021

The extensive bushfire during early February that has resulted in major loss of property across a wide area about 30km NE of Perth, has also burned most of Walyunga National Park (including facilities), and the Bells Rapid – Mount Mambup area, also well known to bushwalkers. The forested areas along Wooroloo Brook eastward to FR Berry Reserve also lie within the burned area. Walyunga NP will remain closed until DBCA has assessed the damage and declares the Park safe for public access. See the DBCA Park Alerts System for updates.
