Great Walk Network

  • The Great Walk organises two walks each year during the Autumn and Spring school holidays.
  • We welcome all ages and abilities - families, solo walkers and newcomers alike.
  • We travel with our own bus, truck and bush kitchen - a fully mobile, volunteer-run village.
  • Camps are mostly on private or peaceful properties, arranged with care and permission.
  • We keep costs low to stay accessible and pay per night, plus an annual membership fee for insurance.
  • Everyone pitches in, we set up and run camp together, sharing tasks according to our strengths.
  • There is time each day for walking, relaxing, music, laughter and stories by the campfire.
  • Membership gives access to our beautiful Nannup property, a base for connection and retreats.
  • GWN began as a protest walk in 1988, raising awareness about logging WA's old growth forests, and we still walk with purpose.
