All Abilities Hiking Program

Bringing Western Australians together for outdoor adventure

About the project
HikeWest’s All Abilities Hiking Program is all about inclusivity, fun, and exploring nature through bushwalking. We’re keen to empower people with disabilities to connect with the outdoors, learn new bushwalking skills, and build lasting friendships.

Our program features a series of beginner-friendly hikes in Perth’s stunning parks, forests, and the beautiful Perth Hills. We provide opportunities to help participants walk safely, discover the wonders of the Australian bush, and enjoy the great outdoors with others. Along the way, we foster resilience, teamwork, leadership, and healthy habits.

We’re thrilled to be partnering with amazing organisations including Crosslinks, Building Friendships, Down Syndrome WA and Richmind WA to make this happen.

HikeWest is grateful to the Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries for supporting this program through an Outdoors Active Recreation grant.
